UR Potential

UR Potential run a range of groups including a trans-specific young persons’ group, and an online Family Support group for parents and other family members of LGBTQ+ young people.

Support for Men

Andy’s Man’s Club

Andy’s Man’s Club run talking groups for men who have either been through a storm, are currently going through a storm, have a storm brewing in life or just want to meet a good group of people with the aim of improving one another. No referral, no registration and no charge. Even the brew and biscuits are free!

Groups available from HORIZON LGBTQ+ in Blackpool:

Blackpool Allies

A social group for anyone who identifies as LGB or T, variations thereof, and their supporters. You don’t have to identify as LGB or T to be an Ally. Every first and third Tuesday of the month 6pm-8pm, at Horizon, 102 Dickson Road, Blackpool.

Lancashire Lads

A support group exclusively for Trans Males in Blackpool. Meets on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at Horizon, 102 Dickson Rd, Blackpool, from 6:00-8:00pm

TransInclusion

A Peer led Trans Female and feminine gender diverse group – once a month on a Tuesday. For more details or to express interest in attending any of these groups, call 01253 311431 or email vsteeden@ren-uk.com

Support for domestic abuse

Birchall

Birchall supports people affected by rape and sexual abuse. We offer a wide range of services designed to help survivors who have experienced the trauma of rape and sexual abuse to heal and move forward, including:

  • Adult counselling
  • Dedicated young people’s therapists
  • Play therapy for children
  • Pre-trial therapy
  • Practical and Emotional Wellbeing Support
  • Peer support groups
  • Training and Education programmes

Birchall’s services are open to anyone aged 4 plus.
