  • Chlamydia
  • Gonorrhoea
  • HIV
  • Syphilis

When to order a STI testing kit?

To ensure the most accurate test results you might need to wait before completing and returning your samples.

You need to wait 2 weeks after unprotected sex to have accurate test results for Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea, 6 weeks after unprotected sex for an accurate HIV test result and 12 weeks after unprotected sex for an accurate Syphilis test result.

Please do not order a postal pack if you already have an appointment or are planning on making an appointment at Blackpool or Lancashire Sexual Health Services.

How frequently can you order an online STI testing kit?

Postal testing kits are restricted to one order in any three-month period and new requests will only be approved if previous postal orders have been returned. You can however re-order a postal kit if you have been advised to do so by a member of our team. If you have any concerns regarding re-testing please call 0300 1234 154 for advice.
